Experience a full day of Japanese history and culture in Date in southwestern Hokkaido! The Date History Museum, newly opened in April 2019, offers a glimpse into Japan’s Jomon period history, dating over 15,000 years ago. At the swordsmith workshop, you can see how traditional swords were forged 1,000 years ago. There are also indigo dyeing, traditional tea ceremony, and seated Zazen meditation workshops open for everyone, including beginners.
