Central Area Ishikari Bay Snowshoe Experience
In this activity, participants put on snowshoes and walk through the snow fields around the Ishikari Lighthouse and along the snowy shores of the Ishikari River. Huge pieces of driftwood that fall near the lighthouse look like "winter monsters" covered in icicles, creating a magical ambiance. You may even spot white-tailed eagles, an endangered species. Enjoy the frigid, dynamic scenery where Hokkaido's longest river, the Ishikari River, meets the Sea of Japan.
